Museums in La Paz and Cabo San Lucas
While you are in Cabo San Lucas, if you are into cultural information or are interested in knowing more about the area, its history and nature, you’ll find a number of museums in Los Cabos and the surrounding area, surely some will appeal to your tastes too.
The Whale Museum
At the Whale Museum (el Museo de la Ballena) you’ll find various illustrations, photos and other informational graphics that explain and inform the history of the seasonal whale migrations to the beautiful shores of southern Baja California, including an impressive 12-meter long skeleton that will surprise you. This museum is located within the Cultural Center Professor Jesús Castro Agúndez. It is open from 11:00AM to 1:00PM. Monday through Friday.
The building of the Cultural Center Professor Jesús Castro Agúndez is also notable from a modern architectural standpoint, as well as hosting the Whale Museum it is also home to the City Theater, the Historical Archive, some art galleries and the Public Library. It also offers green areas and a playground space for children.
